Rebecca was five when she picked up her first paint brush and fell in love. Alas, her artistic pursuits were set aside when she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to design and program systems for the airline industry. Now out of the desert and back in the shade of her native Iowa, she is blissfully creating children's books that long to be read. When she takes a break from her writing and painting, Rebecca might be fishing on the Mississippi, kayaking on a nearby lake, throwing pottery or walking through her small town imagining new tales. She is the mother of sons, Matthew and Bryan, and grandmother to Natalie, Liam, Brittany and Brianna.

THE CHILDREN OF HORSESHOE HIDEOUT is her first book, but she's already working on the sequel, as well as a picture book or two.
